Cannabis Science Inc. (OTC: CBIS) is a biotech company based in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The company was incorporated in 2009 and trades publicly under the ticker CBIS on the Over-The-Counter Bulletin Board. Their goal is to obtain Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approval for cannabis-based medicines, with a focus on treating skin cancer (basal and squamous cell carcinomas), Posttraumatic stress disorder and HIV. They are also studying the use of [[cannabinoids]] to treat sleep disorders.

The U.S. legal cannabis industry was valued at over $2 billion in in 2014.
